The thickness along the spindle center line is 160mm which is narrow enough for the 250mm slot and cavity machining. The milling head can be connected to the machine tool through automatic rotating interface. The 4×90° index is realized by the drawing ring. The material for the milling head is 40Cr and quenched-tempered, which ensures good rigidity and heavy cutting.
